A toddler table and chairs set is something I’ve been looking forward to getting for Jin.
At 18 months old, he was used to using a mini table and chair at nursery and was showing signs that he wanted to do the same at home. But do we get a plain one or a full on activity one?
In this post I’ll cover what products are currently available and introduce the set we decided on.
Feel free to jump to the different categories of table sets below or to the table set we bought.
What Features Are Important To You?
As with all large baby/toddler items, the things you may want to consider are:
- Are you limited for space
- What’s your budget
- How long do you want to use it for
- Do you prefer wooden or plastic material
- Do you prefer a minimalist or colourful style
- Is it for play/dining or both
Features I Went Looking For
For us, we’re working with a small living space and a budget of ideally under £50.
My wish list:
- Multi-functional – can be used as a dinner table and play table but I was particularly looking for a drawing feature
- Has storage
- Is easy to store away / disassemble

I feel like I looked at every type of toddler table and chairs set on the internet!

Why I Love It
❤ The table legs and chairs fit into the table storage section so you’re left with a neat square to carry or store away |
Can be used for dining, arts and crafts, sand/water play |
A nice compact size so even a 1.5 year old can use it (with supervision) |
3 types of table surface that wipe clean |
Storage in the table can fit a lot such as pens, drawing pad, toys |
Tip
I recommend you take a photo of how the chairs came nested into the table so you can replicate when storing it away. It was a little tricky for us because we didn’t do this!
A Warning For Under Two’s
The chairs are very lightweight, which is a great because toddler can carry the chair but it also means it can tip easily.
Depending on how tall your toddler is, I recommend you place the chair in front of the sofa or something that can support it so your toddler can’t tip backwards.
If their feet can fully touch the floor, this shouldn’t be a problem.
Final Thoughts
As you can see there are so many options for a toddler table and chairs set, it all depends on what you want for your little one.
For us, we’re loving this table set. Jin enjoys sitting at it for snack time and draws on the whiteboard daily.
My Top Picks:
Simple and Lowest Cost – Argos Plastic Table and Chairs
Multi-functional with Drawing Feature – Little Helper 6 in 1
Multi-functional with Lego Feature – Amazon Multi-Purpose Activity Table
Elegant and High End – Scandiborn Harlequin Table and Chair

Great choice. I put a lot of consideration into our toddler’s table and chairs. Two years later and I’m still happy with what we have.
Thank you! That’s great to know you’re little one is still using the table and chairs 2 years on. It’s worth investing!
I love how you shared all the different tables for every budget. I also have been thinking about a toddler table for my 21 month old, but also have little space. Thanks for sharing all the different ideas!

When I was researching to buy one for Jin, the sheer number of choice was overwhelming so I love a good roundup 🙂
Lovely choice and selection of toddler tables! They have quite sophisticated designs for kids things these days don’t they. I’ve no kids at the moment but my boyfriend and I might move to Scotland so who knows, I might be looking and reading this article again in the future!
Oh my gosh I know! Some of them are like buying actual furniture for the home.
Scotland, lovely! I look forward to welcoming you back to my site (^_^)
