Maternity Clothes Essentials – All Round Comfort

4 October 2020

Around the time my bump started to show, I had fun with my new maternity clothes like fitted dresses and jeans but as baby Jin grew, there came a point where ALL that mattered was comfort.
Yes pregnancy is only for a few months so I could have saved money and worn the same pair of leggings and baggy T, but this is everyday we’re talking about. I needed maternity lounge wear! A uniform for chilling at home on the sofa in front of the TV (^_^)

Tried & Tested Maternity T’s

It sounds a bit silly now but as I grew bigger, it was really important to me to feel attractive within myself, even lounging around at home.
Maternity Clothes don’t all have to be baggy. There’s something about a beautifully fitting T-Shirt and how it can make you feel.

Maternity Leggings For All Occasions

Leggings, the superstar of maternity clothes.
They may all seem the same but when I tried some on in high street and maternity stores, they were too long, too thick, too thin, see through, dug in at the waist. Is it too much to ask to find leggings that just…fit?

So after trying MANY, I finally found 2 types for being super soft, flexible and I lived in them during and after pregnancy.

These are full length but I had a little extra length at the ankles and Im 5″4, not worth shortening though. If you wanted to shorten, Uniqlo usually have that service in-store but its temporarily unavailable due to Covid. Uniqlo FAQ on alterations

You’ll find these in the ‘Activewear’ section of Gap but I bought them just as normal leggings.

I think £34.95 is crazy expensive for a pair of leggings but you know Gap seem to have a constant 40% off sale on so its possible to get if for a lot less.
I bought these in True Black and Grey and I still wear this 1 year after pregnancy.
